RICE LILLEY - 2020/21 Team Head Coach
Coach Lilley was the Varsity Head Coach for the Battlefield High School girls from from 2012-2015 where he led the Bobcats to 4 years straight Regional Titles and 4 years straight qualifying for State Championship. He has been the Head Coach for the BattleLax 2019 girls team since 2013. He is a US Lacrosse Certified Level II Coach.
As a coach for Galaxy Lacrosse, his focuses are to challenge each individual girl to improve her lacrosse skill level and knowledge so she can maximize her high school experience. We will also assist players and parents with the collegiate recruiting process by providing guidance and facilitating interaction with coaches. Finally, to organize and field a competitive team that performs well in the tournament competition and has fun!
In addition to being a great coach, Coach Lilley has been instrumental in the success of our overall girls program!
EMILY JOHNSON - 2020/21 Team Assistant Coach
Coach Johnson started playing lacrosse in 6th grade with Manassas Battlefield Youth Lacrosse (now Brigade), and continued into high school and college at Brentsville and Christopher Newport University. She was a 4 year starter at CNU, where she helped lead the team to 3 consecutive USA South Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2013, she helped the team reach its first ever sweet 16 appearance. She was named 1st team All USA South and 2nd team All VaSID in 2013, and First Team All CAC, 1st team All VaSID, and 2nd team IWLCA All Region in 2014. She currently holds the record at CNU for most caused turnovers in a season and career, as well as ground balls in a season.
Coach Johnson began her coaching career in High School when she helped coach Brigades first ever U9 team. She then continued to help Julie O’Neill with Lucky 4s and Battlelax through high school and college. She also coached with TripleEdge for 3 years. She is currently the head Varsity coach at Brentsville High School and was the former assistant Varsity coach at Patriot High School under Coach Julie O’Neill. She is currently Level 1 Certified through US lacrosse, and also completed the certifications through the Positive Coaching Alliance, American Sport Education Program, and CPR/First aid certified.

ALEXANDRA KUGLER - 2020/21 Assistant Coach
Coach Kugler is a current Midfielder at James Madison University. She graduated from Battlefield High School in 2016 where she played Varsity Lacrosse and was named US Lacrosse All-American as a Senior, VHSL 6A First Team All-State as a Sophomore and Senior, Washington Post Honorable Mention All-Metro, VHSL 6A First Team All-North Region as a Sophomore and Senior, and VHSL 6A Second Team All-North Region as a Junior, Cedar Run District Player of the Year as a Junior and Senior, First Team All-District as a Sophomore, Junior and Senior and Second Team All-District as a Freshman.

JENNY OPHOF - 2022-2023 Team Head Coach
JULIET VIOLET - 2022-2023 Team Assistant Coach
Juliet comes from Annapolis Maryland, where she played lacrosse at St. Mary’s High School. She attended UMBC where she played Division 1 lacrosse playing midfield and defense and ran Cross Country. After graduating, she continued to play lacrosse at the recreation level for Hero’s Lacrosse in Maryland.
Juliet began coaching for St. Mary’s youth lacrosse in 2010 and joined the Brigade coaching team in 2015. She has served as the assistant for 3/4 B, 5/6 A, and the head coach for the 5/6 LB, 7/8 LB and the 7/8 AAA team. During the winter season, Juliet has coached for triple edge and led player development sessions for Brigade at all levels. A passionate educator, Juliet serves as a high school counselor and believes that all players should enjoy a positive athletic experience.
TUCKER OPHOF - 2025-2026 Team Head Coach
Coach Ophof has been been involved with lacrosse for more than 30 years, when he started playing youth lacrosse in Northern NJ. He played 4 years of varsity in High School and his freshmen year at Division II Long Island University CW Post. He got start into coaching with the Fort Hunt Boys program when his younger brother started playing lacrosse in middle school and coached him for two years before he went on to play high school lacrosse at Mount Vernon HS and eventually playing at Division I UMBC.
Coach Ophof has been coaching with the Brigade Lacrosse Club for more than 9 years. He started coaching his oldest daughter Tanner who recently graduated from Patriot HS when she was in 3rd grade and coached her through 8th grade until she moved on to Patriot HS. After she moved on to HS Coach Ophof moved down to coach his youngest daughter Karson currently a rising 4th grader when she started playing in kindergarten. Coach Ophof also served as the Girls Commissioner with Brigade Lacrosse for 1 1/2 years. Coach Ophof also has a rising 8th grader Riley who has been playing in for Brigade since kindergarten and is currently coached by his wife Jenny Ophof. All three of his daughters have played travel lacrosse with various programs, including BattleLax, SuperNova and CAVS Lacrosse.
Coach Ophof loves being involved with the girls program and is committed to the development and success of Galaxy Lacrosse. His coaching style emphasizes teaching the fundamentals of the game, while making sure that the girls have fun in the process.
DANIELLE PRINCI - Practice Team/Defense Specialty Coach
Coach Princi graduated Centreville High School in 2013 where she played as a Defender for Varsity Lacrosse and was named First Team All District all four years and was a two time member of the US Lacrosse National School National Girl - Mid Atlantic Team in 2011 and 2012. When an injury prevented her from pursing her D1 college offers, Danielle went on to become a coach. She was the former Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for Marshall High School where she lead the JV team to the first ever recorder winning seasons 3 years in a row and assisted with the Varsity team in reaching back to back 5A State Championship appearances. Danielle also was a Head Coach for the Junior/Senior team for the DC LAX Club Team.
ARION PIERRE- Goalie Specialty Coach/Elementary School Clinic Coach
Arion Pierre graduated from Wingate University in 2019 where she played Goalie for the Women’s Lacrosse team. She graduated Battlefield High School in 2016 where she played Varsity and was named second team all-conference her Sophomore season and First team all-conference and all-county her Junior season. She was also first team all-conference and second team all-region as a Senior.

Coach Rosenburg is a current Midfielder at Radford University. She graduated from Battlefield High School in 2018 where she played Varsity Lacrosse and was named VHSL 6A First Team All-Conference all four years, VHSL 6A First Team All-Region as a Junior and Senior and she was a Four-year academic letter winner.
